Robert Lev is of counsel to our law firm. He is a Registered Patent Attorney before the U.S. Patent and
Trademark Office. Mr. Lev’s practice of intellectual property law encompasses patent prosecution, trademark
prosecution, copyright counseling, patent licensing, joint venture counseling, intellectual property audits,
and other related areas.
Mr. Lev has thorough experience with the following technologies:
- Mechanical & Industrial (construction, building components, industrial design, ultrasonics,
mechanical systems, industrial systems, industrial computer programs, injection molding technology,
metallurgy, laser welding, expanded metal structures, closure technology, electromechanical medical
systems)
- Optics (holography,imaging techniques)
- Electrical Engineering (electrical circuitry, semiconductor structure and manufacturing,
telecommunications - including cellular and landline systems, mobile and cellular telephones, paging
systems, audio transducers, electonic banking systems, pay telephone systems, credit card systems)

Background
Mr. Lev is an electrical engineer who dedicates to his profession in a creative and productive manner. In
his beginning stage as an engineer in private industry, Mr. Lev participated in the development and
marketing of new electrical power switching equipment.
As patent examiner for the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office, Mr. Lev worked with inventions related to
mobile and cellular telephones, paging systems, audio transducers, electronic banking systems, pay telephone
systems, credit card systems, and television camera design.
As patent attorney, Mr. Lev serves inventors and applicants in additional areas of technology, such as
semiconductor design, operations and manufacture, advanced intelligent telephone networks, holography, laser
operation, and computer control of various industrial processes. He is successful in satisfying a wide
range of clients such as Bell Atlantic, Mitsubishi, and the National Institute of Standards and Technology.
In his spare time, Mr. Lev contributes to his community by his active participation in cultural
organizations.
